Four years ago, Grant Thornton embarked on a journey to prioritize its people through a “People First” strategy, setting the stage for HR transformation and innovation.

 

The Problem: A Cultural Shift

Grant Thornton’s traditional performance management system was static, offering limited interaction throughout the year. The process involved setting objectives at the start of the year, only to review them months later. This lack of engagement and continuous feedback impeded productivity and employee satisfaction. The existing system was difficult to maintain, didn’t offer flexibility, and lacked real-time insights for both management and HR teams.

Grant Thornton's Choice: A People-first Platform

Grant Thornton utilizes the Development feature, where users can add developments and actions, the Career feature, where individuals share their aspirations and goals, and the Objectives feature, which enables employees to set goals and maintain continuous interaction with their managers and colleagues, averaging seven objectives per user. huapii offers a structured framework for ongoing dialogue, empowering employees to actively shape their growth within the organization.

Onboarding and Implementation

Upon revamping its performance management, GT selected huapii as its HR platform. With a focus on seamless onboarding, huapii worked closely with GT to adapt its processes and align with Grant Thornton’s requirements. Beginning with a pilot phase of 50 users in January 2023, the user base grew rapidly, adding 80 more users by November and reaching 230 users today.

Results

With huapii, GT boosted performance management by enhancing goal engagement, offering flexible tools for managers, providing real-time insights, and reducing HR’s admin load, enabling a focus on strategic work.

I always found a way to get or to create for myselfs jobs where I could achieve my life’s purpose: connecting with people and helping them grow (while growing myself).

After studying general management and HR in Lyon, I joined Solvay where I had several rich & diverse HR experiences. I worked in Lyon, Brussels and Paris, to finally come back to Brussels and accept the challenge of creating and managing Solvay’s Digital Studio flagship.

Being an intrapreneur leading an innovation incubator, taking part of creating a new ways of working platform that transformed the company culture and HR woke up my inner intrapreneur and made me jump into co-founding huapii!

Today at huapii I use my HR and change experience to make the workplace a developing and empowering place to be.
